I received the prototype in the mail on Black Friday. I was so excited to turn it on, but I needed a very specific kind of computer to see the images, so off to Fry’s I went. The computer I needed was specific enough that I was going to have to build it, and since I hadn’t done that since college (ten years ago) I was a little nervous. I worked for hours on the computer. My living room looked like a cardboard bomb had gone off, but when I turned on the camera, the images almost made me cry; I was so happy. It was exactly what I had always wished the video from my high-end DSLR video would look like, but it never came close. It was one of the most fulfilling days of my life.
Update: here’s the video! No artifacts, blurring, or information loss!
